WHERE IS MY SALT

A Letter to the Young Middle-Class Kenyan Girl

In a playful yet bold manner, this book details the life of a young girl, Ella, raised in an urban, lower middle class Kenyan home, who’s left to figure life out by trial and error. By default she was destined to live life in oblivion. Ella finds herself out of breathe and hope for her future.

Life’s unforgiving blows and kicks and the glaring difference between the trajectory of her life and that of her former best friend – Olivia, sends her deep in search of the missing ingredient. The search yields an unexpected life altering journey that culminates in the discovery of a friend so precious, and a friendship so intimate that it alters her life and fortunes irrevocably.

A Note from the Publisher

During my very first meeting with Wanjiru, I knew that there was a story of transformation behind her courage and boldness to write a book of this nature. Wanjiru, keenly but cautiously, shared her testimony – her journey of transformation.

Every word pierced my heart as I took my position not just as a Publisher, but a ‘young girl from a middle-class family.’ Her testimony brought the younger self into fore.

Where is My Salt’ is a far reaching, inner searching material that calls on the young Kenyan girl from middle-class home to introspectively interrogate not just her roots, but the path taken, to enable her devise a compass (find her identity) and ultimately settle into her purpose. Most importantly, it points the reader to God, the Master Planner.

The book uses an imagery of a young-Kenyan girl, Ella, to illustrate the cons of an unstewarded life for a Kenyan girl from the middle-class home. It also clearly demonstrates the power to break forth from the cons as one intentionally takes personal responsibility of their life. A personal commitment to God, and an intentional engagement with mentors are sure to break the imaginary ceilings.

Position yourself for a 3600 mindset renewal.

Congratulations Wanjiru! May the Lord richly bless you for your obedience to put together ‘Where is My Salt’ as a tool to transform many.
